Posterior Optic Neuropathies
Abstract
Posterior optic neuritis refers to a group of rarer diseases of optic neuritis. Similar to anterior optic neuropathies, they can cause decreased visual acuity and optic nerve dysfunction. Although they can be caused by various causes, corticosteroids are important in their treatment. A multidisciplinary approach with ophthalmologists may be required in their management.
