General Information

The aim of the Current Retina Journal (Güncel Retina Dergisi) is to publish theme issues about Retina/Vitreous/Uvea/Ocular trauma/Ocular Oncology/Neuro-Ophthalmology/Electrophysiology of the highest scientific and clinical value at an international level under the current knowledge.

 

Target Population

The target audience includes specialists and physicians in training in ophthalmology and especially working in the field of Retina/Vitreous/Uvea/Ocular trauma/Ocular Oncology/Neuro-Ophthalmology/Electrophysiology.

 

Aims and Scope

Current Retina Journal (Güncel Retina Dergisi) is a review journal publishing current topics. It does not accept and publish retrospective, prospective, experimental research, clinical research, and case reports articles. But, scientific letter, surgical technique, differential diagnosis, original image, what's your diagnosis? medical book reviews, questions-answers, current issues of medical agenda from the field of ophthalmology editorial comment/discussion, letter to the editor, and congress/meeting announcements are released from time to time

 

Preparation of Scientific Manuscript

Current Retina Journal (Güncel Retina Dergisi) is a review journal publishing current topics. Comprehensive review articles, written by experts and stringently refereed after the invitation of editors, integrate the literature on subjects selected for their clinical importance. Articles submitted to the journal without an invitation are not processed. There is no restriction on the number of words, figures, tables, or references. The invited authors can add up to a maximum of 2 co-authors. The system will automatically delete more than 3 authors. Manuscripts are considered for review only if they have not been published previously elsewhere or are not currently under consideration in other journals. The signed statement of scientific contributions and responsibilities of all authors is required. Copyrights of the accepted manuscripts belong to the journal. Authors have the scientific and legal responsibility of the papers. The journal does not charge any article submission or processing charges.

 

Review of Scientific Manuscript

Current Retina Journal (Güncel Retina Dergisi) is a peer-review journal.

All manuscripts are evaluated by at least two national and international experts/reviewers based on the principles of independent, non-biased, double-blind peer-review principles. The submitted manuscript will be published after editorial and scientific board review and proper changes are done by the authors. After the submission of the manuscript, none of the authors can be deleted, no new author can be added and the order of authors can be changed without the written approval of all authors. The Editors may make minor corrections to accepted manuscripts that do not change the main text of the paper. All procedures regarding journal publications are online. All transactions can be made with a "username and password" via the web.

 

The Publishing Policies

The Journal does not charge any article submission or processing charges. All manuscripts are reviewed by at least two national and international independent experts/referees based on double-blind peer-review principles. The Journal Policies and General Guidelines for manuscript preparation specified below are based on "Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals (ICMJE Recommendations)" by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (2013, archived at http://www.icmje.org/).
